Homeless but employed?

Hi, I have recently been kicked out of my family home due to domestic tension. I am currently in full time employment and earning about 拢260p/w after tax (around 13k P/annum). Since I left my house I have been sleeping on who ever I can's sofa, or my car. I've been looking for somewhere to rent, but nowhere is within my means... Also most ask for a deposit and a months rent in advance and I really don't have a lump sum of cash to put forward.

The question I'm really asking is weather I would be entitled to any sort of council property, or financial aid? If not then I really do not know where to go or what do to. I am also concerned that if I can not find a permanant address then my work will suffer and I will jeapodise my job, thus making my situation even worse

Thank you for any information or help in advance.

Matt|||What country do you live in, if you don't mind me asking? I could help you more if I knew where you lived -- because every place is different.

Here are some ideas you might not have considered:

--- A work-trade situation. You do work for someone in exchange for a place to stay.

--- A used trailer or RV. You might be able to find something really cheap on Ebay or in your local classifieds. Then at least you'd have a roof over your head.

--- A barter. Trade some things you have that are valuable in exchange for a month's (or more) stay in someone's apartment or home. I recommend reading the book The Art Of Barter. It might give you some ideas.

--- A house sitting gig. Offer to watch someone's house while they're out of town. They get someone to watch over the property, you get a home to stay in for a significant period of time.

--- A live-in tutor situation. Tutor or teach someone's challenged kids, in exchange for a room in their house.

--- Food Stamps, Social Security Income, Grants, Bank Loans %26amp; Notes, Cash or Food from places like Salvation Army. Now, those are things offered in the US-- I don't know what country you live in, but there must be something equivalent to this where you live.

Hope this helps!

I was moved by your plight -- I'm sorry you're going through this.

I will be praying for you,

Amy|||You can go to the local council and declare yourself homeless, tell them you are sofa surfing cos your parents threw you out, they will probably offer you a room in a hostel until they allocate you a flat which will probably not be in the best of areas, will take a few months, you could for places to rent in your local paper, shops or the net. If you manage to find a place you can afford you could ask the landlord if you can pay the bond off monthly on top of your rent as some are willing to do that if you cannot afford it outright.
