Reno NV: Security Deposit Problems?

Moved out 04-30-10. Paid a $1399 security deposit. They took $450 for carpet cleaning %26amp; general cleaning. But then they also took out $860 for repairs such as replace missing/torn screens, install new blinds, replace threshold, install 37 lightbulbs, pull nails %26amp; spackle, and I assume labor for these repairs. The problem is that everthing they charged me to fix and replace was on my move in list as broken or missing. The letter they sent me with my $89 return was a lump sum with no breakdown of what they spent on what and no receipts. They also didn't pull nail %26amp; spackle because I did that and painted the entire inside of the house 3 days before we left. I called the rental co. and left a messege, no call back. I then went into the office and asked to speak to an office manager %26amp; was told nobody had time to speak with me %26amp; they would call me. I left a copy of my spackle %26amp; 5gal paint receipt, light bulb receipt ( i replaced the bulbs before move out) and a copy of the move in list even though they had it at the office. I explained that it is illegal to charge someone for deficiancies on the move in list.It has been 4 days and no one has called me. I hope someone can help me with advice on my next steps.|||They will continue to ignore you and hope you go away and give up.

Your next step if you have proof of these things, is to take them to small claims and make them prove they needed that much of your deposit to bring the dwelling back up to standards for the next tenant.
